Price: $80 per person. This price includes bus transportation and a box lunch. The bus will begin loading at 8:45 AM.


Attendees will take a bus to the Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park Battlefield, where they will begin their tour with a 30-minute movie. Then a park ranger will serve as a tour guide and will share the historical significance of the major battles that occurred there. Then attendees will head to Point Park on Lookout Mountain and hear about the battles that raged on the mountainside. As the tour comes to a close, attendees can explore the Fuller Gun Collection, which features over 300 rifles from the Civil War Era, and the souvenir shop. This tour takes approximately 5 hours.

The Missionary Ridge Local will depart from Grand Junction Station, and follow the route across Chickamauga Creek, through the pre-Civil War Missionary Ridge Tunnel to the TVRM shops in East Chattanooga. Our train will be pulled by the world famous 4501 steam locomotive. Attendees will be given a special extended backshop tour of TVRM’s Soule Repair Shop where impressive railroad shop machines are used to maintain steam locomotives, diesel engines and their collection of vintage passenger and dining cars.  After the tour the 4501 will return attendees to Grand Junction Station.
