Kick off the convention festivities with the Scenic City Convention Committee and your fellow attendees with game day fare and good conversation in the ballroom. We'll be having bacon and cheddar sliders, mini hot dogs, homemade kettle chips, water, soda, and there will be a cash bar available.  Wear your favorite sports team colors, shirts or jerseys!

This Layout Tour will feature four incredible layouts! You will ride in a full-sized professionally driven coach. Transportation and a box lunch are included. The bus will load at 7:45 AM.

Attendees will take a bus to the Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park Battlefield, where they will begin their tour with a 30-minute movie. Then a park ranger will serve as a tour guide and will share the historical significance of the major battles that occurred there. Then attendees will head to Point Park on Lookout Mountain and hear about the battles that raged on the mountainside. As the tour comes to a close, attendees can explore the Fuller Gun Collection, which features over 300 rifles from the Civil War Era, and the souvenir shop. This tour takes approximately 5 hours.

Price: $35 per person. This price includes bus transportation. The bus will begin loading at 10:00 AM. The bus will departure at 10:30 AM. 

ScaleTrains is a manufacturer of museum quality model trains, specializing in HO, N, and S scales. Attendees will take a bus to the ScaleTrains warehouse. Tour of the ScaleTrains offices, meet the ScaleTrains Crew and view Pelle Søeborg's layout. The tour will last for 2 to 3 hours.

Along the way, narration provides context about the rail line, surrounding neighborhoods, and how rail travel shaped the region.

Enjoy the views of downtown Chattanooga as you walk to the historic terminal station and enjoy a 90 minute tour of the facility. The terminal is one of Chattanooga's most iconic attractions for over 100 years. Within the terminal, you'll find a preserved wood burning steam locomotive open for viewing and photo ops. The walk to the Chattanooga Choo Choo complex will take about 15 minutes and the tour itself will take about 90 minutes. You'll then return to the convention center.

Komatsu is the world's second largest manufacture of construction and mining equipment.  Established in 1985, Komatsu's Chattanooga manufacturing facility produces midsize hydraulic excavators and intelligent excavators, articulated dump trucks for mining and quarry, as well as some machines for the forestry market.  Approximately 525 people are employed at the Chattanooga campus. This tour covers the company highlights as well as fabrication and assembly of a midsize hydraulic excavator.

This clinic is limited to ten (10) participants; Cost is $0.

This clinic consists of a presentation about Layout Command Control (LCC), and how LCC modules (I.e. nodes) are used on the layout.  The second part of this is a hands-on clinic, the attendees will configure a grade crossing with block detection using LCC demonstration modules.   Tasks include configuring block detectors to start and stop grade crossing road signals.

Participants will learn how block detectors, push buttons, panel indicators and lams are configured with LCC modules. 

This is a condensed (and cheaper!) version of the LCC Clinic at the National Convention in Texas and the MCR Convention in Dublin.

LCC Demonstration nodes & USB cables will be provided.   Please note that this is _NOT_ a make & take clinic.   We need these nodes for future clinics.

Participants will need to bring a laptop computer with JMRI PanelPro (OpenLCB/LCC tools) installed and running.
