DxSD | AIA San Diego 2026 Design Awards

Thank you for submitting projects for consideration in the 2026 AIA San Diego Design Awards competition! Please select the categories for which you'd like to register & submit projects. Once you complete your registration, you will receive access to your template files and, subsequently, you will receive a link to your own private Dropbox folder where you will upload all of your submission files.



SUBMISSION REGISTRATION

TIER 1 | AIASD Member

$350.00 +$10.76 fee

This registration type is for entries by AIA San Diego members in the categories of Architecture; Interior Architecture; Multifamily Residential Architecture; Healthcare; Historic Preservation; Unbuilt Projects; Urban Design. 

The member rate is offered to architect members in good standing. You will be required to enter a valid AIA member number and the Chapter will verify your standing. The submitting architect/firm shall be primarily responsible for the project's design. 

TIER 1 | Non-local Member

$425.00 +$13.00 fee

This registration type is for entries by AIA members outside of San Diego for projects located in San Diego County in the categories of Architecture; Interior Architecture; Multifamily Residential Architecture; Healthcare; Historic Preservation; Unbuilt Projects; Urban Design

To be eligible, entrant must be an AIA architect member in good standing. You will be asked to provide a valid AIA member number; AIASD will verify your affiliation and standing with your local Chapter. The submitting architect/firm shall be primarily responsible for the project's design. 

TIER 2 | AIASD Member

$225.00 +$7.03 fee

Tier 2 comprises the following categories: Projects Less than $2MM; Single Family Residential; and Arquitectura de Tijuana. Lower entry costs are intended to lessen the financial burden on sole proprietors and smaller firms.  

To be eligible, entrant must be an AIA architect member, AIA Associate member, or AIA International Associate member in good standing. You will be asked to enter a valid AIA member number. Associate AIA Members and International Associates may be eligible to submit in Tier 2 categories, provided the submission lists a licensed architect of record; the submitting architect shall be primarily responsible for the project's design. 

TIER 2 | Non-local Member

$275.00 +$8.52 fee

Tier 2 comprises the following categories: Projects Less than $2MM; Single Family Residential; and Arquitectura de Tijuana. Lower entry costs are intended to lessen the financial burden on sole proprietors and small firms.  

To be eligible, entrant must be an AIA architect member in good standing with a project located in the San Diego/Tijuana metro area. You will be asked to provide a valid AIA member number. Associate AIA Members and International Associates may be eligible to submit in Tier 2 categories, provided the submission lists a licensed architect of record; the submitting architect shall be primarily responsible for the project's design. Architects/firms licensed in Mexico are eligible to submit in the Arquitectura de Tijuana category and need not be AIA members, though AIA membership is strongly encouraged.

DIVINE DETAIL

$200.00 +$6.28 fee

Each Divine Detail entry must accompany a project submitted in the following categories: Architecture; Interior Architecture; Projects Less than $2 Million; Single Family Residential Architecture; Multifamily Residential Architecture; Healthcare; Historic Preservation

STUDENT AWARDS | AIAS Members

$0.00

This award is focused on acknowledging quality design from local students (community colleges, undergraduates, graduates) and programs of architecture, including both accredited programs, as well community college programs and schools in Tijuana. 

Current students and recent (2025) graduates are eligible. 

STUDENT AWARDS | Non-AIAS Members

$50.00 +$1.80 fee

This award is focused on acknowledging quality design from local students (community colleges, undergraduates, graduates) and programs of architecture, including both accredited programs, as well community college programs and schools in Tijuana. Current students and recent (2025) graduates are eligible. 

Inquire with AIA San Diego about AIAS Membership. If you successfully become an AIAS member (or Assoc. AIA for recent grads) within 15 days of this registration, AIA San Diego may refund your entry fee.
