Chapman Springs Skijoring
“Our goal is to create a world-class event with athletes from all walks of life,” remarks Chapman. “I love horseback riding and skiing! I have been doing both for over 30 years. Being able to combine the two is amazing” he continues. The Chapman Springs Skijoring Event will take place from  January 28th to the  29th, in 2022. The location of the event is in Clark Fork, Idaho at Chapman Springs Ranch, a private ranch.

The competition will feature prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place participants in each of the three levels of competition: Pro, Sport, and Novice. Prizes include: AQHA Papered Yearling Horse, Belt Buckles, Custom Built Wade Saddle from Hickman’s Saddlery, Custom Made Cowboy Hat from Burns Hats, Spurs, and Cash Prizes as well!
Racers must check in on January 28, 2022, at 4:00 PM
Races start on January 29, 2022, at 8:00 AM
Skijoring is a rush like none other. For the rider, skier, snowboarder, and all those watching, it is hands down one of the most action-packed horsemanship sports on earth. Chapman Springs Ranch is excited for our inaugural annual Skijoring Event. 

Our goal is to bring this sport back to the North Idaho area and showcase some of the amazing riders and skiers! Chapman Springs Ranch is a 112 year old working ranch. The history is filled with stories dating all the way back to pre-historic times. Our land is rich with heritage and many of the original uses of the property are still prevalent today.
Rules
Safety is our number one goal. If you are new to Skijoring please review the full rules and regulations here. The basics are all horses competing must be shoed with property shoeing or sign a shoed waiver to race. A farrier will be on-site as well as a vet. Ropes and riggings will be reviewed before each race. You must register for your riding ability.
