PanAgora Pharma conferences facilitate conversations from different perspectives aimed at alignment and establishing best practices to unify all stakeholders towards a patient-centric future of healthcare.
PanAgora Pharma is pleased to present the 6th Annual Clinical Trials Patient Experience Summit, hosted in partnership with Bristol Myers Squibb on September 21, 2020.

Now in it's second year with Bristol Myers Squibb as the Host Sponsor, the conference is the leading meeting place for those looking to improve the patient experience in clinical studies by including patients in the development process – while developing solutions to make the clinical trial process more convenient for patients, and more efficient for researchers.

20+ speakers are slated to take part from Bristol Myers Squibb, Pfizer, Novartis, Janssen R&D, FORCE, SCRS, Man Up To Cancer, Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, BlackHealthMatters, Syneos, Medable and many more will be sharing their experience this time around!

More than 250 representatives from Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, CROs, Recruitment and Research Sites, Patient Groups and Advocates, Clinical Trials Innovators, and technology providers that are improving the patient experience in clinical studies are registered to attend.

“Why Men are Missing Out on Clinical Trials”

I’ve been living with stage IV colon cancer since March of 2018. Since diagnosis, I have gone through colon surgery, two liver surgeries, and traditional chemotherapy. I started immunotherapy in September 2019, and am currently stable, giving me cherished time with family and friends.

I recently founded a purpose-driven company called Man Up to Cancer. My mission is to inspire men to connect and avoid isolation during our cancer journeys. Numerous studies have shown that men tend to isolate after a cancer diagnosis. Men often don’t seek second opinions, and don’t lean about their treatment options. Consequently, men are missing out on trial opportunities that might provide them with the best chance of survival.

How do we bridge this gap? We need to encourage men to take control of their health by becoming students of their disease. Much of this learning happens within trusted advocacy organizations. Stakeholders in the clinical research space should be allies in this education. You can continue to build authentic relationships with patient advocacy organizations, and help them build resources and tools that connect their members with trial opportunities.

Information on the 2019 venue:
Bristol-Myers Squibb’s new 650,000-square-foot, four-building campus, the culture is one of connectivity, spontaneity and collaboration. As a co-location for 2,100 employees previously spread across five sites, the project gives rise to a connected culture via a four-story atrium that bridges the various buildings. A variety of informal lounge, meeting and work settings provide much needed touch-down space for the highly mobile workforce. Outfitted with work settings and cafes, the atrium serves as the heart of the campus — and a key example of design for the human experience.
