The Cubist movement conceived in Europe in the early twentieth century rejected the inherited concept that art should copy nature, or that artists should adopt the traditional techniques of perspective, modeling, and foreshortening. Proponents of cubism argued that with the invention and progression of photography, art could move beyond the literal, to re-imagine multiple views at one time. As such, Cubist Pioneers, Picasso and Braques often reduced and fractured objects into geometric forms, and then realigned these within a shallow, relieflike space. They also used multiple or contrasting vantage points

Former chef at elBulli, Spain
Sergio has been a chef for 25 years. I came from a classical music background but started cooking in my grandfather's kitchen back in Zaragoza, Spain, when I was 15. I was able to work in Kyoto, Japan, as an intern where I learned the beauty of Kaiseki cuisine. I was fascinated by the culture, the food, the tradition and the discipline.
