MUSIC
TONE RANGER
SANTA FE, NM
Tone Ranger (AKA Alex Simon) makes dance and ambient music that reflects the supernatural beauty of the American Southwest. Uniting light and shadow, chaos and order, future and retro, he weaves daring electronic compositions designed for the dance floor. Having spent the last two years living and working in Native nations across the Plains and the Southwest, Alex is inspired primarily by the American landscape and the stories that come from it. In 2016, while in Standing Rock, he founded a recording project called Sovereign Sounds, where he brings recording materials and knowledge to Indigenous communities in hopes of preserving songs, stories and languages and deepening creativity amongst the youth. With such a violent history and divisive present, America needs to heal from the inside out. The music of Tone Ranger is a deep exploration of the joy, beauty, truth, and mystery of the land we stand on and a prayer that we can move forward and heal together.
NEOMA
DENVER, CO / ECUADOR
Neoma, Ecuadorian singer who now resides in Denver, Colorado has captivated pop lovers worldwide with her “tender yet powerful” voice. Neoma reached the tops of the Ecuadorian charts with singles from her debut album Real. She has been one of the biggest artists from the Ecuadorian indie scene. Neoma has highlighted her presence and attitude in her live shows both in Latin and North America.

When 21-year-old Ecuadorian singer Carla Huiracocha decided to pursue a career as a musician, she chose an ethereal name to represent her equally dreamy pop persona: Neoma. Inspired by her love for astrology, the name means “new moon,” per its Greek origin, and represents the natural changing of phases. “It’s a name that reminds me that I keep transforming myself into a new person,” says the rising Denver musician, who prefers to go by Neoma both on and off stage. “It reminds me to evolve with my music.

BLUEBOOK
DENVER, CO
(Bluebook performance canceled
due to COVID 19 protocol)
Enigmatic, otherworldly, and thoroughly affecting, Bluebook is a four-piece indie band featuring Julie Davis (upright bass, vocals, loops, lyrics), Jess Parsons (keyboards, vocals),  Hayley Helmericks (drums, vocals), and Anna Morsett (guitar , vocals). Processed upright bass, light percussion, distant keyboards, and ethereal guitar combine to support a monumental approach to vocal harmony that conjures the ur-myth of the American Woman. Bluebook “loops rhythmic and melodic bass lines with synth noise to create folk music rooted in blues, gospel and even darkwave....offer[ing] up aching harmonies, using bare-bones instrumentation to support their songs” (The Westword, Kyle Harris).
MOONSHADOW MARAUDERS
Alamosa, CO

The Moonshadow Mauraders are a newly formed group of well known San Luis Valley musicians. The coming together of  talented songwriters Jenni Mansfield Peal on accordion, guitar and vocals; Tyler Rosenbohm on guitar and vocals; and Maurice Hirsch on percussion and vocals has given birth to an eclectic trio performing a mix of originals and unique arrangements of covers making them wholly their own.
TIO PuERTa
CRESTONE, CO
A mix of Spanish, gypsy tribal earth loving and praising music Tio Puerta creates sounds to connect the land and heart. Jacob Pesquiera who is orchestrating and leading the group, has been a part of a number of beloved San Luis Valley-based bands including Plan Be, The Jay Kings and Chronic Joy.
