The American Bonsai Society, West Michigan Bonsai Club, and the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park are pleased to offer this workshop for local residents interested in learning about bonsai.
The art of bonsai has fascinated people of many nations for over a thousand years. In this workshop, you will learn basic bonsai care and how to create one. Then you and your partner will be given the opportunity to make one together, to take home with you! We hope this will spark your own lifelong passion for bonsai. All supplies and instruction are included in the experience, and no previous knowledge is needed.

The 3-hour workshop (9-12 PM) will allow you to get a taste of the fascinating art of bonsai and serve as a unique way to observe Mother's Day Weekend. After your workshop, you'll also be able to enjoy a tram tour of the sculpture park (1-2 PM) and take in the beautiful bonsai on display at the All Michigan Bonsai Exhibition, as well as the Bonsai Vendor area.
Only 10 tickets are available for each day. This offer is limited to one ticket per household. This ticket does NOT give you access to any of the other activities of the ABS Learning Seminars that are happening concurrent with this workshop offering.
Refund Policy: Refunds are only available for cancelations requested in writing more than 30 days prior to the event. Credit card processing fees will not be refunded if you cancel an add-on or a registration. Only cancelations on the part of ABS will include processing fees that you paid.
